Azerbaijan has officially established an embassy in Portugal. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev has ratified the legislation authorizing the opening of this diplomatic mission in Lisbon.
Under the decree signed by the head of state, the Cabinet of Ministers has been tasked with addressing the logistical, material, and financial requirements necessary to ensure the operational functionality of the new embassy in the Portuguese capital.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been instructed to finalize the organizational structure and staffing table for the mission. This move marks a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations between Baku and Lisbon, as Azerbaijan continues to expand its diplomatic footprint across Europe to foster political, economic, and cultural cooperation with international partners.
