Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Dominican Republic Foreign Minister Ito Bisonó on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that the sides discussed prospects for developing bilateral relations, institutionalizing political dialogue and strengthening cooperation within international organizations.
After the meeting, they signed an Agreement on the mutual exemption of ordinary passport holders from visa requirements.
The foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and the Dominican Republic also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on establishing a mechanism for political consultations.
