In June, 21 individuals were detained for violating the state border of Azerbaijan, according to the latest monthly report from the State Border Service.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the detainees included 8 citizens of Azerbaijan, 5 citizens of Iran, 2 citizens of Afghanistan, and 6 citizens of Nigeria.
Furthermore, as part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal migration, border authorities intercepted 8 additional individuals attempting to cross the state border using forged date stamps, falsified passports, or documents belonging to other persons.
The State Border Service of Azerbaijan maintains strict surveillance protocols along the country's borders to ensure national security and prevent illegal migration.
