The draw for the 2026/27 Azerbaijan Cup season was held today.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the ceremony was attended by Professional Football League President Elkhan Samadov, Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan Executive Vice President Sarkhan Hajiyev, PFL Vice President Aslan Shahgaldiev, Technical and Sports Director Elgiz Abbasov, Executive Director Zaur Haji-Maharramov, Media and Marketing Director Sanan Abdullayev, team representatives and journalists.
Gara Garayev, one of the country’s most decorated footballers, a former member of the Azerbaijan national team and currently a coach with the national under-21 team, attended the draw as a special guest.
The draws for the first and second qualifying rounds, as well as the round of 16, were held at the ceremony. Matches in these rounds will be played over one leg.
The first qualifying-round matches of the Azerbaijan Cup will take place on October 7-8.
