The State Social Protection Fund (SSPF), under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, has successfully completed the payment of pensions for May across the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The ministry informed Operative Information Center-OMM that the process was finalized according to the scheduled timeline. On May 14, pensions were disbursed to residents of Baku, Sumgait, the Absheron district, and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Today, the process concluded with the transfer of funds to pensioners registered in other regions of the country, as well as those receiving pensions on preferential terms.
The timely distribution of social payments is a key component of Azerbaijan's social security strategy, aimed at ensuring the welfare of its citizens. The State Social Protection Fund manages these disbursements through a centralized electronic system, allowing for efficient transfers to bank accounts. In recent years, Azerbaijan has implemented significant reforms to increase the minimum pension and expand social safety nets, reflecting the government's commitment to enhancing the living standards of the population.
