In the first half of this year, Azerbaijan successfully implemented 340 infrastructure projects across its liberated territories. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, which cited data from the Ministry of Finance, these initiatives represent a significant step in the ongoing restoration of the region.

A total of 1.0641 billion manats was allocated for the execution of these projects, accounting for 30.4% of the actual budget disbursements for the period. The breakdown of the 340 projects includes 76 in the transport sector, 36 in water management and land reclamation, 11 in energy and industry, 19 in defense and law enforcement, 182 in the social sector, and 16 in other categories.

Financial expenditures during the reporting period were distributed as follows: 505.2 million manats for transport (48% execution rate), 400.5 million manats for social projects (23%), 60.3 million manats for defense and law enforcement (42%), 75.2 million manats for other projects (31%), 15.4 million manats for energy and industry (11%), and 7.6 million manats for water management and irrigation (3%).

Since the liberation of these territories in 2020, the Republic of Azerbaijan has prioritized the large-scale reconstruction of Garabagh and East Zangazur. These efforts are part of a comprehensive state program aimed at rebuilding critical infrastructure, restoring essential services, and facilitating the safe return of former internally displaced persons (IDPs) to their ancestral lands, ensuring the long-term socio-economic integration of the region.
