Temperatures in Azerbaijan are expected to reach 36°C on June 18, according to the latest forecast from the National Hydrometeorological Service.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that while Baku and the Absheron Peninsula will experience variable cloudiness and generally dry weather, the capital will see a shift from north-westerly to south-easterly winds during the day. Temperatures in the capital are projected to range between 19-22°C at night and 30-35°C during the day, with atmospheric pressure dropping slightly.

Across the country's regions, the weather is expected to remain largely dry; however, meteorologists warn of intermittent rain in some mountainous and foothill areas during the second half of the day. These localized showers may be accompanied by lightning and hail. In the regions, daytime temperatures are forecast to climb as high as 36°C, while mountainous areas will remain cooler, ranging between 20-30°C. The National Hydrometeorological Service regularly monitors these climatic shifts to provide timely warnings for agriculture and public safety, as summer heatwaves are a common occurrence in the region during this season.
