The State Examination Center (SEC) has officially launched the residency application process for the 2026/2027 academic year in Azerbaijan.
According to information provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the Center, candidates must access the official portal using their "Personal Cabinet" credentials to complete and confirm the "Candidate's Electronic Application" form. The registration period is scheduled to run from April 13 to April 20, 2026, until 23:59.
The first attempt of the examination for the assessment of knowledge on basic subjects is planned for May 3. Candidates who achieved a "pass" result in the first stage of residency admission in previous years must also confirm their electronic application form to participate in the second stage (specialty subjects). Candidates admitted to the specialty subjects exam are required to deposit 100 AZN into their accounts and register between July 22 and July 30, 2026. Participants will be allotted 2 hours and 30 minutes to answer the examination questions. Only those who score 40 or more points in the basic subjects are eligible to proceed to the specialty exams.
