Responsibility for protecting the health and providing medical care to employees of the State Agency for the Protection of Strategic Facilities (SOMDA) has been assigned to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
"Operative Information Center-OMM" reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed a decision on the matter.
Under the decision, the State Agency will discuss its medical care needs with the MIA each year and prepare proposals. Based on the agreed draft, the Ministry of Finance will include the necessary funds directly in the MIA's maintenance expenses when preparing the state budget for subsequent years.
Accordingly, the MIA will provide medical services to SOMDA employees, including retired employees, and their family members. These services will include disease prevention, primary healthcare, emergency and urgent medical care, outpatient and inpatient treatment, as well as medical rehabilitation and health improvement services.
The decision will take effect on Jan. 1, 2027.
