The National Hydrometeorological Service has released the weather forecast for May 6, predicting variable cloudiness and occasional precipitation across various parts of Azerbaijan. In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the weather is expected to be mostly dry during the day, although intermittent rain and thunderstorms are possible in some areas during the night and early morning hours.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the National Hydrometeorological Service, temperatures in the capital will range between 11-14°C at night and 15-19°C during the day. A mild north-easterly wind is expected to prevail. In the regions of Azerbaijan, more unstable conditions are anticipated, with intense rainfall, lightning, and hail forecast for specific districts. High-altitude areas may experience snow, while fog is likely to occur in several regions. Temperatures in the provinces will reach up to 20°C, while mountainous areas will see daytime highs between 8-13°C.

The National Hydrometeorological Service, operating under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, regularly monitors atmospheric conditions to provide timely updates for the public and various sectors of the economy. Such fluctuations in spring weather are characteristic of the regional climate in Azerbaijan, where the transition between seasons often brings diverse meteorological patterns across the country's varied terrain, from the Caspian coast to the Greater and Lesser Caucasus mountains.
