The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan has announced the specific dates and regulations for relatives to visit young soldiers during the month of February. According to the ministry, these visits are part of the scheduled integration process for new recruits into the military service.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that visiting days at military units will be organized within a limited framework to ensure order and security. The Ministry of Defense stated that meetings with young soldiers will take place exclusively on February 15 and February 22.
Access to military units will be strictly regulated, with entry permitted only to individuals who present valid identification and are confirmed as first-degree relatives of the soldier. This category includes:
- Parents (father and mother);
- Spouse and children;
- Grandparents;
- Biological and step-siblings (sharing the same father or mother).
In an effort to protect the health of military personnel and maintain strict adherence to sanitary and hygienic standards, a critical warning has been issued to all visitors:
During the visits, it is strictly prohibited to bring any food or food products from outside into the military unit.
The Ministry of Defense regularly organizes such visiting days to maintain the morale of personnel while ensuring that the transition to military life follows established protocols. These measures are consistent with Azerbaijan's military regulations aimed at maintaining high levels of discipline and health safety within the armed forces. The Ministry urges all family members to comply with the established schedule and prohibited items list to ensure the smooth conduct of the visiting sessions.
