Interior Minister General-Colonel Vilayat Eyvazov discussed cooperation between the Interior Ministries of Azerbaijan and Türkiye with Ali Fidan, head of the Turkish Interior Ministry’s General Directorate of Security.

A delegation led by Ali Fidan arrived in Azerbaijan to attend the ninth working meeting on police cooperation between the Interior Ministries of Azerbaijan and Türkiye, which will be held in Baku.
During his meeting with Ali Fidan and the delegation he leads, Vilayat Eyvazov noted with satisfaction that relations between the Interior Ministries of Azerbaijan and Türkiye are at a high level. He emphasized the importance of further expanding interaction between the law enforcement agencies of the two brotherly countries and developing joint activities.
He expressed confidence that working meetings held במסגרת police cooperation would make an important contribution to exchanging experience and improving the efficiency of practical activities.
Ali Fidan, head of the delegation, thanked the minister for the reception and hospitality. He highly valued cooperation between the relevant institutions of the two countries and highlighted the importance of jointly combating global threats, including various types of crime.
Türkiye’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan Birol Akgun also attended the meeting.
Regular consultations and working meetings between the two countries’ law enforcement bodies support information exchange, professional training and coordinated responses to emerging security challenges. Azerbaijan and Türkiye maintain close institutional ties based on bilateral cooperation and shared security interests.
