Azerbaijan and Tajikistan have officially approved an agreement regarding the mutual allocation of annual education quotas.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree to formalize this cooperation.
The decree ratifies the "Agreement between the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan on the mutual allocation of annual education quotas." Following the entry into force of this agreement, the Ministry of Science and Education is tasked with ensuring the implementation of its provisions.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has been instructed to notify the Tajik side that the necessary domestic procedures for the agreement to take effect have been completed.
This initiative is part of broader efforts by Azerbaijan to strengthen bilateral ties with Central Asian nations through academic and cultural exchange. Such agreements facilitate the mobility of students and researchers, fostering deeper cooperation in the fields of science, technology, and higher education between Baku and Dushanbe.
