Azerbaijan's Minister of Culture, Adil Karimli, has held a meeting with his Italian counterpart, Alessandro Giuli, in Rome.
This was reported to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the Ministry of Culture.
During the discussions, the parties reviewed the current state of cultural relations between Azerbaijan and Italy and explored prospects for further cooperation. The meeting focused on key areas such as the protection of cultural heritage, museum management, creative industries, cinematography, music, and the performing arts. Both sides emphasized the importance of implementing joint projects and expanding collaboration between cultural institutions.
Minister Adil Karimli briefed his counterpart on the priorities of Azerbaijan's cultural policy, highlighting ongoing initiatives aimed at strengthening cultural diplomacy and expanding international partnerships. The ministers exchanged views on organizing mutual cultural days, exhibitions, and concert programs, as well as implementing professional exchange projects and deepening institutional cooperation in the cultural sector.
Furthermore, the ministers reaffirmed their mutual interest in developing cultural cooperation across new directions and executing joint initiatives. A detailed action plan regarding the implementation of projects in the cultural sphere was also discussed during the meeting.
The cultural partnership between Azerbaijan and Italy is deeply rooted in historical ties and has been significantly strengthened in recent years through various diplomatic and artistic exchanges.
