President Ilham Aliyev is currently holding a one-on-one meeting with his German counterpart, Frank-Walter Steinmeier. Following the private session, the two leaders are scheduled to hold an expanded meeting with the participation of their respective delegations, according to the Operative Information Center-OMM.

A key highlight of the visit is the anticipated signing of the "Joint Declaration on a Strategic Agenda for Bilateral Partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Federal Republic of Germany," which is expected to be finalized during the President's meeting with the German Chancellor.

This diplomatic development marks a significant milestone in relations between Baku and Berlin. Germany remains one of Azerbaijan's key economic partners in the European Union, with extensive cooperation spanning energy security, trade, and infrastructure projects. The signing of this strategic declaration is expected to further deepen political dialogue and expand economic ties, signaling a new phase in the long-standing partnership between the two nations.
