Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has extended his congratulations to the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Andy Burnham, on the occasion of his assumption of office.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Pashinyan shared the message on the social media platform X, wishing Burnham success in his new role.
In his statement, the Armenian head of government expressed readiness to work closely with the new Prime Minister to further develop the strategic partnership between the two nations and strengthen friendly ties between their peoples.
Simultaneously, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan congratulated the new UK Foreign Secretary, Ed Miliband, on his appointment. Mirzoyan emphasized the readiness to collaborate on shared priorities and to strengthen the strategic partnership between Armenia and the United Kingdom.
It should be noted that Labour Party leader Andy Burnham assumed the office of Prime Minister of the United Kingdom on July 20. This transition followed King Charles III's acceptance of Keir Starmer's resignation on June 22.
