The State Social Protection Fund, under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, has commenced the payment of pensions for April. On April 8, funds were successfully transferred to the accounts of retirees in Baku, Sumgait, and the Absheron district.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Ministry released an official statement confirming the completion of this initial phase. Simultaneously, the State Social Protection Fund under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has also finalized pension payments for the current month across the autonomous republic.
Pensions for residents in other regions of Azerbaijan, as well as for individuals entitled to pensions on preferential terms, are scheduled to be paid according to the established monthly graphic. In Azerbaijan, the social security system is managed through an automated electronic infrastructure, ensuring that social transfers reach citizens' bank accounts promptly. These regular disbursements are part of the government's broader social welfare strategy aimed at maintaining the living standards of the country's vulnerable populations and retirees.
