Another 43 families have received keys to their new homes in the city of Khojavend, the settlement of Girmizi Bazar, and the village of Guzeykhirman. This latest phase of the resettlement process marks another milestone in the ongoing efforts to restore life to the territories liberated from occupation.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, upon arrival, the families were briefed by representatives of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) regarding the dangers posed by mines and unexploded ordnance. Residents were advised to remain vigilant, avoid unknown objects, and report any suspicious items to the relevant authorities immediately.

The handover ceremony was attended by officials from the Special Representative Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend districts, as well as representatives from the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons. The returning families, who had previously been living in temporary accommodations such as dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings across Azerbaijan, expressed their profound gratitude to the country's leadership for the modern living conditions provided in their ancestral lands.

The "Great Return" program is a strategic initiative aimed at the comprehensive reconstruction and development of Azerbaijan's liberated territories. Following the 44-day Patriotic War, which ended in 2020, the Azerbaijani government launched an extensive infrastructure drive to rebuild cities, villages, and essential services, ensuring that former internally displaced persons can return to their homes in safety and dignity. This initiative is central to the national agenda of restoring the social and economic fabric of the Garabagh region.

In this specific phase, 19 families (88 people) moved to Khojavend city, 13 families (61 people) to Guzeykhirman village, and 11 families (42 people) to Girmizi Bazar settlement. The returnees paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of these lands and expressed their appreciation for the valor of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
