“Today, in essence, we have left behind most of the problems — by problems, I mean the global challenges facing us,” President Ilham Aliyev said.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that Aliyev made the remarks while receiving security chiefs from member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
“What lies ahead is joint work, strengthening cooperation, establishing closer ties between our countries and peoples, and enhancing the role of the Organization of Turkic States in the international arena. Through our joint efforts, we should seek to turn the OTS into one of the leading international institutions and organizations,” the head of state added.
The Organization of Turkic States brings together Turkic countries to promote cooperation in political, economic, cultural, security and other areas. Its members coordinate positions on regional and international issues through regular high-level meetings and specialized institutions.
