Wars are being fought around us, and there appears to be no end in sight to these conflicts. The geography of the wars is expanding.
"Operative Information Center-OMM" reports that President Ilham Aliyev made the remarks while receiving security chiefs from Turkic States Organization member countries.
"Mutual hostility among the warring parties is becoming increasingly overt. All this could, and in principle is, contributing to the expansion of the geography of conflicts along the perimeter of our countries," the head of state said. He added that, in the current situation, if Azerbaijan is discussed, both its northern and southern neighbors are countries engaged in war. In this context, issues related to regional security are, of course, of great importance.
The Turkic States Organization brings together Turkic-speaking countries to promote cooperation in areas including security, politics, the economy and culture. Azerbaijan has repeatedly emphasized the importance of regional stability and coordinated efforts to address emerging security challenges.
