Aliyev: New Azerbaijan Party is South Caucasus’s largest political force

The New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) is the largest political force not only in Azerbaijan but also in the South Caucasus.

“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that President Ilham Aliyev made the remarks while addressing YAP’s eighth congress.

Noting that the party has been in power for more than 30 years, the head of state said: “Our party’s activists have played a major role and made a significant contribution to our country’s successful and honorable path in recent years.”

Founded in 1992, YAP is Azerbaijan’s ruling political party. Its congresses bring together party members to discuss its activities and priorities.
