“We are all proud of our state, and I am sure every patriotic Azerbaijani and every citizen of Azerbaijan is proud of it,” President Ilham Aliyev said.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reported that Aliyev made the remarks while addressing the 8th Congress of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP).
“We have achieved an unprecedented victory in the world. And, I say again, we did it alone,” the head of state added.
The New Azerbaijan Party is Azerbaijan’s ruling political party. Its congresses bring together party representatives to discuss political priorities and organizational matters.
