Azerbaijan is actively cooperating with member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in a bilateral format.
"Operative Information Center-OMM" reports that President Ilham Aliyev made the remarks while receiving security officials from OTS member states.
"We have established joint investment funds with Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan," the head of state said, adding that efforts to attract and mobilize mutual investments are continuing actively.
President Ilham Aliyev also emphasized: "In other words, our country's bilateral agenda is primarily focused on the countries of the Turkic world. As I have repeatedly stated in my public speeches, this is our main foreign policy priority. I have also said that the Turkic world is our family and that we have no other family."
The Organization of Turkic States brings together Turkic-speaking countries to promote cooperation in areas including politics, trade, investment, transport, culture and security. Azerbaijan has consistently highlighted stronger ties within the Turkic world as a key priority of its foreign policy.
