Azerbaijan is paying particular attention to developing the media and communications sector within the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA), expanding bilateral and multilateral cooperation with member states in the media field, and improving information exchange mechanisms.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that President Ilham Aliyev made the remarks in an address to participants of the CICA Media Forum held in Baku.
“Partnerships that have developed among various media organizations in recent years, as well as the participation of media representatives from CICA member states in international media events hosted by Azerbaijan, have created conditions for practical cooperation in this area,” the head of state emphasized.
CICA is a multilateral platform focused on strengthening cooperation, dialogue and confidence-building measures among Asian countries. Media forums held within its framework provide an opportunity to develop professional contacts and facilitate the exchange of information among participating states.
