Akanji seeks to make amends against Brugge in front of Inter fans

Inter defender Manuel Akanji has shared his expectations for the UEFA Champions League second-round match against Brugge. The game will be played in Milan on October 13.

Inter defender Manuel Akanji has commented on his team’s match against Brugge in the second round of the 2026/2027 UEFA Champions League league phase. He said the team had an opportunity to make amends in front of its fans.

“We lost our first Champions League match to Real Madrid. Now we have a chance to make amends in front of our fans. Brugge are a good team. They may not be the highest-calibre opponent, but we must be cautious because they are used to playing in this competition,” UEFA’s official website quoted Akanji as saying.

Inter will face Brugge at San Siro in Milan on October 13. Kick-off is scheduled for 23:00 Baku time. Norwegian referee Rohit Saggi will officiate the match.
