The Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum – “AIIF 2026”), held under the auspices of President Ilham Aliyev, has concluded in Baku.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports, citing the Ministry of Economy, that the forum was organized through a strategic partnership between the ministry and The European House – Ambrosetti & TEHA Group. It brought together government officials from various countries, global investors, representatives of international financial institutions and think tanks, and business leaders.
Held under the theme “Restoring trust in a fragmented world: The South Caucasus as a pillar of global connectivity and investment stability,” the forum featured extensive discussions on the global economic agenda, investment prospects and new opportunities for regional cooperation. Key topics included Azerbaijan’s regional connectivity and investment opportunities, the development prospects of the Middle Corridor, industrial and free economic zones, artificial intelligence and digital transformation, energy and the green transition, capital markets, agribusiness, critical raw materials and economic security. Azerbaijan’s potential to create new opportunities in investment, production, innovation and regional value chains was presented. The forum demonstrated the country’s open, favorable and sustainable economic environment for foreign investment, as well as its position as a reliable partner in strategic projects.
Azerbaijan’s potential for developing investment, production, innovation and regional value chains was presented to a broad audience. The country’s open, favorable and sustainable economic environment for foreign investment, along with its position as a reliable partner in implementing strategic projects, was also highlighted.
Under 23 documents signed with international investors and partner companies during the forum, investment projects with a total value of $10.8 billion are planned. The signed documents cover artificial intelligence, energy, including renewable energy, construction, the digital economy, industry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, finance, water management and other areas.
Taking into account projects announced during Baku Energy Week in June this year, the total value of planned joint projects will reach $16.7 billion. This is a clear indication of growing investor confidence in Azerbaijan and the country’s increasing attractiveness as an investment destination. Investments on this scale will make an important contribution to diversifying the economy, introducing new technologies and innovations, and increasing added value and employment.
