Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY) has announced the appointment of additional train trips on domestic routes to ensure passenger convenience during the upcoming Novruz and Ramadan holidays in Azerbaijan.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports this with reference to the joint-stock company.
According to the approved schedule, special trips will be organized in the following directions during the holiday period:
- March 20-30: Daily Baku-Gabala-Baku;
- March 19-30: Daily Baku-Aghstafa-Baku;
- March 23 and 25: Baku-Aghdam-Baku route.
Passengers can purchase tickets for Baku-Aghstafa-Baku trains with a 10% discount. Sales are conducted at railway ticket offices, on the official ADY website, or via the "ADY Mobile" application.
Furthermore, during the holidays, services on the Baku–Gazakh–Bakı, Baku-Balakan-Baku, and Ganja-Gabala-Ganja routes will continue. Additionally, on March 21 and 28, trips on the Baku-Aghdam-Baku route will be executed according to the traditional schedule.
The expansion of railway services during national holidays is a standard practice in Azerbaijan to accommodate the surge in domestic tourism and family travel. Novruz, which marks the arrival of spring, and Ramadan, a significant religious period, are among the most celebrated holidays in the country, often resulting in high demand for transportation between the capital and regional hubs. Azerbaijan Railways continues to modernize its fleet and digital booking systems to enhance the travel experience for both local citizens and international visitors.
