The United Service for Large Cities under the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency (ADSEA) has transitioned to an enhanced work regime to manage and remove rainwater accumulated due to intensive rainfall in Baku. The agency is currently prioritizing the drainage of flooded areas to ensure the uninterrupted movement of vehicles and pedestrians.

The Operative Information Center-OMM was informed by the service that ADSEA officials and employees from various water canal departments are actively deployed across the capital. Specific operations are underway in the Surakhani district, including the cleaning of sewage lines in the Hovsan and Zigh settlements. Furthermore, rainwater removal efforts are being concentrated in the Sabunchu, Sabail, and Khatai districts, specifically targeting areas such as Neftchilar Avenue, the intersection of Bulbul Street, Mazahir Rustamov Street, Pump Station No. 3, and the Baghirov Bridge.

These measures are part of Azerbaijan's broader infrastructure maintenance strategy to prevent urban flooding and ensure the smooth operation of the city's drainage systems during seasonal weather shifts. ADSEA continues to monitor vulnerable zones across the Republic of Azerbaijan to mitigate the impact of heavy precipitation on transport and public safety. The agency stated that the work is being carried out in an intensive and urgent manner until the weather conditions stabilize.
