Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has expressed his gratitude to Azerbaijan for the humanitarian aid provided to his country.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the diplomat shared his appreciation in a post on his official account on X (formerly Twitter).
"I express my gratitude to the government and people of Azerbaijan for the humanitarian aid, as well as for the conditions created for the delivery of aid from other countries," he stated. Araghchi further added that the support demonstrated during these difficult days is rooted in the shared culture that unites the peoples of Iran and Azerbaijan.
The relationship between Azerbaijan and Iran has historically been shaped by deep-rooted cultural, religious, and historical ties. In recent years, both nations have focused on strengthening regional cooperation, particularly in the fields of transport, energy, and logistics. Azerbaijan's strategic location serves as a vital transit hub for international humanitarian efforts and regional trade, reinforcing its role as a key player in South Caucasus diplomacy and stability.
