The 4th Shusha Global Media Forum, held under the theme "The Mission of Media in Promoting Peace: Restoring Truth and Rebuilding Trust," has officially concluded in the city of Shusha.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the forum's opening day featured a significant session where President Ilham Aliyev engaged with participants, addressing their questions on a wide range of topics.
The two-day event facilitated a series of one-on-one discussions, panel sessions, and interactive meetings. Media executives, government officials, and representatives from international organizations and leading media outlets from various nations convened to analyze the evolving media landscape, address emerging challenges, and explore avenues for international cooperation.
Key discussions centered on critical issues such as information security, the role of artificial intelligence in journalism, digital transformation, and the necessity of cross-border media collaboration. Participants also had the opportunity to visit the Victory Park in Khankendi and the Khojaly Genocide Memorial Complex in Khojaly, as well as observe the extensive restoration and reconstruction efforts currently underway in Shusha.
The Shusha Global Media Forum has established itself as a premier platform for international dialogue. Since its inception, the forum has aimed to foster global media cooperation and provide a venue for discussing the most pressing issues facing the information sector today. The 4th edition saw the participation of approximately 160 media representatives, experts, and officials from 53 countries.
