19-year-old released after stabbing his mother’s partner in Lankaran

A stabbing incident has been reported in Lankaran.

“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that the incident occurred in one of the district’s villages.

According to the indictment, 19-year-old Firuz Najafov (a conditional name) stabbed Mammad (a conditional name), who had been living with his mother as an unofficial spouse, at their home. The incident followed Mammad’s separation from Firuz’s mother and his subsequent visit to their home in an attempt to reconcile.

Although Mammad wanted to reconcile with the woman, she refused and asked him to leave the house. An argument then broke out between them. Seeing that his mother was unwell, Firuz struck Mammad in the temple with a knife. Mammad suffered cuts to his fingers while attempting to grab the knife.

Firuz Najafov was detained by police in connection with the incident, and criminal proceedings were initiated against him.

In his testimony, the defendant said he regretted his actions and had compensated the victim for the damage caused. Mammad also said that he had no complaint or claim against Firuz.

By a court ruling, the criminal case was terminated and F. Najafov was released from liability.//Lent.az
