Biography
Anar Abbasov was born in 1986.
He worked at Bank of Baku OJSC from 2008 to 2021; from 2018 to 2021, he was the bank’s Chief Executive Officer for information technologies, payment systems and business process management. From 2021 to 2022, he held the positions of Adviser to the Chairman of the Management Board and Director of the Retail Banking Department at PASHA Bank OJSC; from 2018 to 2023, he was also Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Prime Insurance.
From 2022 to 2024, he headed the retail segment at ABB, and from 2024, he served as the bank’s office head. Since March 2026, he has been the Chief Executive Officer of ABB.
