The National Hydrometeorology Service has issued a weather warning for several regions across Azerbaijan, forecasting intermittent precipitation beginning in the northern and western districts on the morning of June 2 and continuing through the daytime on June 3.
According to information provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the National Hydrometeorology Service, the weather conditions are expected to be unstable. Officials noted that in some areas, the precipitation will be intense, accompanied by lightning and a potential for hail.
Due to the anticipated heavy rainfall, authorities have warned of rising water levels in rivers. There is a specific risk of short-term flooding and mudflows occurring in some mountain rivers, and residents in these areas are advised to exercise caution. The National Hydrometeorology Service regularly monitors such weather patterns to provide timely updates to the public and relevant emergency services in Azerbaijan.
