The National Hydrometeorological Service has issued a weather warning regarding upcoming meteorological conditions in the country.
According to information provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM, there is a high probability of short-term heavy rainfall accompanied by hail in some suburban areas of the Absheron Peninsula in the coming hours.
It should be noted that yellow and orange weather warnings have been issued for June 27-28 in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, as well as in several other regions, due to expected windy conditions.
In accordance with the orange warning, north-westerly winds are expected to intensify in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, as well as in Mingachevir, Ganja, Aghstafa, Gazakh, Naftalan, Goranboy, Dashkasan, Neftchala, Salyan, Shirvan, Shabran, Khizi, and Gobustan, with speeds reaching 20.8-28.4 meters per second.
In other regions of Azerbaijan, yellow warnings are in effect, with north-westerly winds expected to reach speeds of 13.9–20.7 meters per second. These meteorological warnings are part of the standard safety protocols implemented by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources to ensure public safety during adverse weather events, which are periodically monitored to mitigate potential damage to infrastructure and agriculture.
