On August 20, weather conditions in Azerbaijan are expected to be primarily dry, though precipitation is forecasted for specific regions, according to the National Hydrometeorological Service.

As reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, while Baku and the Absheron Peninsula will experience mostly rainless weather with moderate north-westerly winds, other parts of the country face changing conditions.

In the regions, weather will be largely dry initially, but starting from the northern and western districts, intermittent rain is expected during the day. In some areas, there is a probability of short-term intensive downpours, thunderstorms, and hail. Fog is expected in some mountainous areas during the night and morning hours, accompanied by gusty westerly winds in certain locations.

The National Hydrometeorological Service, which operates under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, regularly monitors atmospheric changes across the country. These forecasts are critical for agricultural planning and public safety, particularly in mountainous regions where sudden weather shifts can impact local infrastructure and transport.

Temperature readings for the day are forecasted as follows: in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, temperatures will range between 21-24°C at night and 29-33°C during the day. In the regions, nighttime temperatures will be 20-24°C, rising to 33-38°C during the day. In mountainous areas, temperatures are expected to be 12-17°C at night and 20-25°C during the day.
