Visibility to be limited on Azerbaijan's highways

Visibility on Azerbaijan's highways is expected to be significantly restricted on May 11 due to forecasted weather conditions.

The National Hydrometeorological Service informed the Operative Information Center-OMM that foggy weather in the overnight and morning hours will affect several regions. Visibility on main highways is projected to be limited to a range of 500-1000 meters, particularly in mountainous and foothill districts.

The National Hydrometeorological Service, an agency under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, regularly monitors atmospheric conditions to ensure public safety. Such weather warnings are standard procedure in Azerbaijan to prevent traffic accidents during seasonal transitions, as the country's diverse topography often leads to rapid changes in microclimates, especially in the Greater and Lesser Caucasus ranges.
