US President Donald Trump has issued a strong critique regarding the financial assistance provided by Washington to foreign nations and the stance of its allies.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, in an interview with Fox News, President Trump stated that Washington spends billions of dollars on partners such as NATO and South Korea, yet fails to receive reciprocal support in return.
President Trump emphasized that despite the significant financial aid provided by the US to these nations, they often respond negatively to Washington's requests when assistance is needed. "We help other countries. We spend billions on NATO and South Korea, but when we need help, they say, 'No, thank you,'" the US President remarked.
The President noted that the US could have utilized these resources for domestic economic gain, arguing that it is illogical to continue funding partners who do not demonstrate mutual cooperation. "You cannot continue to be naive and provide aid to those who do not wish to help you," he added.
