British Ambassador to Ukraine Neil Crompton has announced that a visit to Kyiv by Prime Minister Andy Burnham is expected. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the diplomat discussed the potential visit in an interview with the RBC-Ukraine news outlet.

Reports indicate that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has extended an invitation to the new British head of government to visit the country. Ambassador Crompton noted that it has been only three weeks since Burnham assumed office, and he is currently in the process of defining the government's priorities. Nevertheless, London remains keen to facilitate the visit to Kyiv as soon as possible.

Addressing the possibility of a visit by King Charles III to Ukraine, the ambassador stated that such a decision rests entirely with the monarch himself. Crompton emphasized that King Charles III is deeply concerned about the situation in Ukraine, a sentiment reflected in his numerous meetings with President Zelenskyy.

The United Kingdom has been one of Ukraine's most steadfast allies since the beginning of the conflict, providing significant military, financial, and humanitarian aid. High-level visits from British leadership serve to reinforce this strategic partnership and demonstrate continued Western support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

It should be noted that Ambassador Neil Crompton has previously emphasized the necessity of being prepared against potential Russian aggression toward NATO. According to the diplomat, while managing relations with Moscow remains challenging for London, NATO maintains a coordinated defense plan to be implemented in the event of an attack.
