A 28-year-old man has been charged with preparing acts of terrorism, including alleged plans targeting Reform UK leader Nigel Farage, British counter-terrorism police said on Friday.
Joshua Kerry faces one count of preparing terrorist acts, relating to activity alleged to have taken place between May 31, 2024, and July 8, 2026, according to Counter Terrorism Policing.
Police describe complex investigation
Deputy Assistant Commissioner Vicki Evans said investigators had been conducting an “intensive and complex investigation” for some time, and that the charge followed work across the Counter Terrorism Policing network.
Evans said a team of detectives, analysts and forensic experts had pursued multiple lines of inquiry, resulting in what she described as a very serious charge.
Court appearance expected next week
Kerry is expected to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London next Wednesday.
