Türkiye’s BIST 100 opens nearly flat at 12,888 points

Türkiye’s benchmark BIST 100 index opened Friday at 12,888.33 points, slipping 0.02%, or 2.76 points, according to Anadolu Agency.

The index had fallen 2.74% to 12,888.33 points at Thursday’s close, with daily trading volume reaching 111 billion Turkish liras ($2.26 billion).

Currency and commodity prices

As of 10:45 a.m. local time (0745 GMT), the US dollar was trading at 48.8550 Turkish liras, while the euro stood at 55.7675 liras and the British pound at 65.8585 liras.

An ounce of gold was priced at $4,277.9, while Brent crude futures traded at $106.25 per barrel.
