Türkiye’s BIST 100 opens lower on Wednesday

Türkiye’s benchmark BIST 100 index opened Wednesday at 13,152.37 points, falling 46.47 points, or 0.35%.

At Tuesday’s close, the index had declined 1.04% to 13,198.84 points, with daily trading volume reaching 147 billion Turkish liras ($3.02 billion), according to Anadolu Agency.

Currency and commodity prices

As of 10:05 a.m. local time (0705 GMT), the Turkish lira was trading at 48.8070 against the US dollar, 55.8010 against the euro and 65.0575 against the British pound.

An ounce of gold was priced at $4,328.5, while Brent crude futures traded at $98.5 per barrel.
