US President Donald Trump said Thursday that his administration is considering establishing a military base in Poland.
Asked by reporters whether the US was weighing such a move, Trump said the possibility was under consideration. “We have great respect for the president of Poland, so we’re looking at that — and it could happen,” he said, referring to Karol Nawrocki.
Trump said last month that the United States and Poland were making “major progress” towards establishing a US Army base in the country. He wrote on “Truth Social” that, if the plan goes ahead, its location would be announced “very soon,” calling it a historic step for the US-Polish alliance.
