Traffic congestion has been observed on several key roads in Baku, according to the latest update from the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC).
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the ITMC is actively monitoring the situation to manage traffic flow across the capital. Motorists are advised to plan their routes in advance to avoid delays.
As of the latest update, traffic density is reported in the following areas:
- Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of the "20 Yanvar" metro station;
- Heydar Aliyev Avenue, main road, in the direction of the city center;
- Yusif Safarov Street, in the direction of the city center;
- Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue;
- 1st Lake Side Road, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
- Binagadi highway, in the direction of the "Azadlig Avenue" metro station;
- 8 Noyabr Avenue, from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street towards the city center;
- Denizkenari Street, from the Flag Square towards the "Azneft" circle;
- Ali Mustafayev Street, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
- Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Muzaffar Narimanov Street towards the "20 Yanvar" metro station;
- Tbilisi Avenue, from the "20 Yanvar" metro station towards the city center.
The Intelligent Transport Management Center, operating under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, plays a critical role in regulating traffic in Baku. By utilizing advanced surveillance systems and smart traffic lights, the center aims to optimize urban mobility and reduce congestion in the rapidly growing capital of Azerbaijan.
