Significant traffic congestion has been reported on several major thoroughfares in Baku, causing delays for motorists during peak hours.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has issued an official update regarding the current traffic situation in the capital.

As of the latest report, traffic density is being observed in the following directions:

  • Baku-Sumgait highway, moving toward the "20 Yanvar" metro station;
  • 1st Lake Side Road, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
  • Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Ahmad Rajabli Street to the intersection with Ataturk Avenue;
  • 8 November Avenue, from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street toward the city center.

Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, frequently experiences traffic congestion during morning and evening rush hours due to the high volume of vehicles and ongoing urban development projects. The Intelligent Transport Management Center regularly monitors traffic flow across the city to manage congestion and provide real-time updates to drivers, ensuring better traffic regulation and road safety in the metropolitan area.
