Traffic congestion has been reported on several major thoroughfares across Baku, causing delays for commuters during peak hours.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has issued an update regarding the current traffic situation in the capital.
According to the latest data, traffic density is currently observed in the following areas:
- Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of the "20 Yanvar" metro station;
- Ali Mustafayev Street, towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
- Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Ahmad Rajabli Street to the intersection with Ataturk Avenue;
- Heydar Aliyev Avenue, main road, in the direction of the city center;
- Azadlig Avenue, from the intersection with Salatin Asgarova Street to the intersection with Dilara Aliyeva Street;
- 8 Noyabr Avenue, from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street towards the city center;
- Matbuat Avenue, in the direction of the "Mikayil Mushfig" circle;
- Binagadi highway, in the direction of the "Azadlig Avenue" metro station;
- 1st Lake Side Road, towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
- Tbilisi Avenue, from the "20 Yanvar" metro station towards the city center.
The Intelligent Transport Management Center regularly monitors traffic flow in Baku to ensure public safety and efficiency. Drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance and utilize alternative roads where possible to avoid the affected areas. Such traffic updates are part of the city's ongoing efforts to manage urban mobility and reduce congestion in the rapidly developing capital of Azerbaijan.
