Traffic congestion has been reported on several major roads across Baku, causing delays for commuters during peak hours.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has issued an official update regarding the current traffic situation in the capital.

As of the latest report, significant traffic density is being observed in the following areas:

  • Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of the "20 January" metro station;
  • 1st Lake Shore Road, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
  • Tbilisi Avenue, from the "20 January" metro station towards the city center;
  • Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, specifically the section from the intersection with Ahmad Rajabli Street to the intersection with Ataturk Avenue.

The Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) in Baku plays a critical role in monitoring the city's expanding road infrastructure. As the capital of Azerbaijan continues to grow, the management of traffic flow remains a priority for urban planning authorities, who utilize smart traffic light systems and real-time monitoring to mitigate congestion and improve road safety for residents and visitors.
