Heavy traffic congestion has been observed on several key streets and avenues in Baku, affecting the movement of vehicles across the capital.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Digital Development and Transport Agency's Intelligent Transport Management Center (NIIM) has released data regarding the current road conditions. Significant delays are reported on the 1st Gol Kenari road towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, the main road of Heydar Aliyev Avenue heading toward the city center, and the Baku-Sumgait highway in the direction of the "20 January" metro station.
Other affected areas include Binagadi highway, 8 November Avenue, Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, 28 May Street, Ali Mustafayev Street, Tbilisi Avenue, Yusif Safarov Street, and Ziya Bunyadov Avenue. The NIIM advises drivers to take these delays into account and utilize alternative routes to avoid prolonged congestion in the capital.
Traffic management in Baku is a priority for urban infrastructure, with the Intelligent Transport Management Center regularly monitoring vehicle flow to optimize transit times. Such congestion is typical during peak hours in Azerbaijan's capital, where authorities continue to implement digital solutions and infrastructure upgrades to improve the city's transport network efficiency.
