"Tottenham" yenidən "Liverpool"un müdafiəçisini transfer etmək istəyir

Tottenham is actively negotiating to sign Liverpool defender Andy Robertson as a free agent this summer.

Operative Information Center-OMM, citing foreign media, reports that the player confirmed last week he would be leaving the club after a nine-year tenure following the expiration of his contract.

Tottenham has long been interested in the 32-year-old left-back and attempted to secure his services during the January transfer window. However, Liverpool was not prepared to release Robertson at that time. The London-based club remains determined to sign the Scotland national team captain. According to BBC Sport sources, while a final agreement has not yet been reached, negotiations are in an advanced stage.

Nevertheless, the completion of the transfer depends directly on whether Tottenham remains in the Premier League. Currently, the team led by Roberto De Zerbi sits 18th in the league table, two points behind West Ham and within the relegation zone.

The potential move marks a significant shift for Robertson, who has been a cornerstone of Liverpool's defense during one of the club's most successful eras. Known for his work rate and crossing ability, the Scottish international has won numerous titles at Anfield, including the Premier League and UEFA Champions League. For Tottenham, acquiring such an experienced veteran would be seen as a strategic move to bolster their defensive line and provide leadership within the squad as they navigate their current league challenges.
