Tahir Yaqub oglu Budaqov has been relieved of his duties as the Chairman of the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that President Ilham Aliyev signed the relevant decree regarding the personnel change. By another decree of the head of state, Tahir Yaqub oglu Budaqov has been appointed the head of the Nasimi District Executive Authority in Baku.
The position of the head of the Nasimi District Executive Authority became vacant following the dismissal of the former head, Elkhan Ibrahimov, in December of last year. Ibrahimov, 43, was removed from his post less than two months after his appointment due to deficiencies identified in his professional activities.
In Azerbaijan, heads of local executive authorities are appointed directly by the President to manage administrative districts and cities. The Nasimi district is one of the central and most densely populated areas of the capital, Baku, housing significant government buildings, educational institutions, and historical landmarks. Tahir Budaqov brings extensive administrative experience to the role, having led the State Statistics Committee since 2015 and previously serving as the head of the Nizami District Executive Authority.
