Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa and Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and addressed key regional and international issues, Syria’s official SANA news agency reported Thursday.
The meeting was held on Wednesday on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly in New York, with Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani also present.
Talks focus on bilateral relations
The two sides discussed strengthening ties between Syria and Kuwait and exchanged views on several regional and international issues of common interest, SANA said.
UN General Assembly continues through September 28
High-level meetings and the general debate of the 81st UN General Assembly began on Tuesday, with Syria participating. According to the UN’s official programme, the session will continue through Sept. 28.
